Welcome to Project D.R.E.A.M.!
Our mission is to provide educational activities, lessons, and workshops for children and parents, specifically focusing on music, art, and S.T.E.M.
Unfortunately, as many public schools focus on what was last during the COVID-19 pandemic, many areas are receiving cuts, including music, performing arts, visual arts, sciences, and even school libraries. These cuts are deeply affecting our children as they lose the vital creative side of their education.
It is the goal of Project D.R.E.A.M. to ensure that our children do not need to go without this vital part of education. We bring the art, music, and science to kids, while also inviting them into our local public libraries here in NEPA. With the declining use of our public libraries, it is more vital than ever to ensure our youngest minds grow up understanding the potential of a creative mind and a good book.

Read-alouds, Lessons, and Family Workshops, Oh My!
Read-alouds
Almost all of our events held within our public libraries will feature a unique read-aloud. These segments introduce your children to a new book in an engaging and fun way, as read by our expert storytellers! Every read-aloud will also be posted on our YouTube for future viewing!
Lessons
We often hold evening lessons or "kid-specific" workshops that aim to teach a specific topic or objective. These lessons are created by our pre-service teachers who are members of the program as a way for them to create lessons and test them before field use, or even take a lesson that went extremely well in the field and share it with even more children!
Family and Parent Workshops
Our last frequently offered services are our Family and Parent-specific Workshops. Family workshops are catered to fostering a deeper familial connection; they often feature hand-outs for parents with fun and simple events to plan, or tips for the season ahead. The families will work together to complete an activity that will bring them all closer at the end.
Our parent-specific workshops are made to discuss topics, seasonal ideas for fun, or even just as a chance to relax. We will often have snacks, refreshments, and a lot of fun during these workshops. We feature topics chosen by you! and researched by our experts prior to the workshops, this way we can ensure you leave feeling wiser, stronger, and much more relaxed!
